GlucoZen allergens: what the label says and leaves out
GlucoZen allergens are not declared. The label makes no allergen, gluten-free or vegan statement. It lists chromium, a 200 mg blend of 22 herbs and amino acids, and other ingredients: water, organic citrus extract, natural flavors, stevia and xylitol. If you have an allergy, ask support in writing before you order.

Check 1
Are there GlucoZen allergens on the label?
No. The label makes no allergen statement. It makes no gluten-free claim and no vegan claim either.
That is a gap, not a clean bill. A missing statement does not mean the drops are free of an allergen. It means the label does not say. So if you have a food allergy, you cannot treat the silence as an answer. We say this plainly because it is easy to read a short label as a safe one.

Key facts
- The label makes no allergen, gluten-free or vegan statement.
- All 23 ingredients are listed by name. Single amounts inside the blend are not printed.
- Natural flavors and organic citrus extract do not name their sources.
- The amino acids have no source stated and no vegan claim.
- If an allergy matters to you, email [email protected] and keep the reply in writing.
Check 2
What does the GlucoZen ingredient list actually show?
Here is the full list, in label order. Per 1 mL, the panel lists chromium (as chromium picolinate) at 0.7 mcg. Then it lists one Proprietary Herbal Blend of 200 mg.
The blend names these 22 ingredients: maca root extract, grape seed extract, guarana seed extract, African mango fruit extract, eleuthero root extract, astragalus root extract, green tea leaf extract, gymnema leaf extract, forskohlii root extract, bird pepper (capsicum) fruit extract, grapefruit seed extract, Asian ginseng root extract, raspberry ketones, L-glutamine, L-tyrosine, L-arginine, beta-alanine, monoammonium glycyrrhizinate, GABA, L-ornithine HCl, L-tryptophan and L-carnitine.
Other ingredients: deionized water, organic citrus extract, natural flavors, stevia (steviol glycosides) and xylitol. The full panel is typed out on our Supplement Facts page.

Check 3
Which GlucoZen allergens could hide in plant extracts?
Most of the blend is plant extract. If you know you react to a particular plant, scan the list for it.
- Seed and fruit extracts: grape seed, guarana seed, African mango fruit, grapefruit seed and bird pepper fruit.
- Root extracts: maca, eleuthero, astragalus, forskohlii and Asian ginseng.
- Leaf extracts: green tea and gymnema.
- Licorice-derived: monoammonium glycyrrhizinate.
- Citrus: grapefruit seed extract and organic citrus extract appear in different parts of the label.
We cannot say which of these has caused a reaction in anyone. No report about the drops themselves is published. This is a map of what is on the panel, so you can match it against your own history.
Check 4
What does the label leave out?
Four gaps matter for anyone with an allergy or a diet rule.
- Natural flavors. The label does not name their source.
- Organic citrus extract. The label does not say which citrus.
- Amino acids. The label names each one but prints no source, no vegan claim and no allergen statement for them.
- Cross-contact. Nothing is published about shared equipment or facility.
The maker is not named either. The label names GlucoZen of Aurora, Colorado as distributor, and prints "Phone Number" with no number after it. So you cannot easily call the maker with a question.
Check 5
What about sensitivities that are not allergies?
An allergy is not the only reason to read a label. Some people simply react badly to one ingredient. The sources point to a few such cases.
- Bird pepper extract is a capsicum, and capsaicin can irritate the stomach (MSKCC, Cayenne).
- Guarana is linked to nausea and insomnia, and green tea extracts to belly discomfort (MSKCC, Guarana) (NCCIH, Green tea).
- Caffeine from guarana and green tea may bother people who are sensitive to it.
- Xylitol is a sweetener that is dangerous to dogs (FDA, Xylitol and dogs). See our post on xylitol and dogs.
If your stomach complains, stop and tell your clinician. For swelling of the face or lips, trouble breathing or a spreading rash, seek emergency care at once. That advice is general and not specific to this product.
Check 6
How do you ask support about allergens?
Write before you order. The FAQ on this site says to email the sales site's support team. Use [email protected].
- Name your allergy or diet rule in the first line.
- Ask whether the drops and their flavor and citrus ingredients are free of it.
- Ask about shared equipment, if that matters to you.
- Ask for the answer in writing, and save it with your order confirmation.
If no clear answer comes, treat that as your answer. The refund window runs 60 days from the ship date, so you can send unopened bottles back. You pay the return postage.
Check 7
What should you do if you feel unwell after a serving?
Stop the drops. Do not take another serving to see if it happens again. Note the time, the amount and how you feel.
- For mild symptoms such as an upset stomach or jitters, call your clinician and tell them what the label lists.
- For swelling of the face or lips, trouble breathing or a spreading rash, seek emergency care at once.
- Keep the bottle and the label. Show them to whoever treats you.
- Tell support by email, so your report is on record.
This advice is general and not specific to this product. The label itself says to consult a physician, and a clinician who knows your history is the right guide.

Our view
A short label can feel safe. But the GlucoZen label says nothing about allergens, gluten or vegan status, and two of its ingredients do not name their source. That is not proof of a problem. It is proof of a gap.
If you have no allergy, the main cautions are the ones on our side effects page. If you do have one, write to support first and keep the reply. Do not rely on a guess, ours included.
And when in doubt, ask your clinician or allergist to look at the full list with you.
